Undeterred by the dire weather forecast, 50 Midweekers gathered on the jetty to deck out their boats in colourful bunting. We then retired to the Boathouse Bistro for a convivial ‘picnic’. The celebration cake was washed down with Prosecco kindly donated by the site owners, Bewl Water.

Eight boats took to the water for a leisurely sail in the afternoon, avoiding the worst of the rain.
