- Club Racing
The Winter Freezer series started on Sunday 6th January with three back-to-back races in the morning. Why not come along this week and join in the fun, even if you’ve never raced before? The racers are a friendly bunch who are always happy to give helpful advice.

- Mariners of Bewl Winter Warmer – Saturday 19th January
Everyone is invited to come and hear how Will Street and Jonny Currell won Gold at the Para Sailing World Championship in their RS Venture Connect. Refreshments will be available. Click here for more details.
- Bewl Blaster – Sunday 24th February
This event is open to all sailors, including visitors from outside Bewl – so please spread the word. There will be three handicap races with prizes afterwards. Read the Notice of Race here .
- Annual General Meeting – Sunday 17th March at 14:00
I know it's not everyone's idea of a date to keep free but, without a small nucleus of volunteers, none of our activities would be possible. Some of the committee are retiring, so please let me know if you’re able to help out. The official notice will be issued shortly.
- Flying Fifteen Open – Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March
As part of the Southern Travellers Series this promises to be an exciting event, with competitors coming from as far afield as Chew Valley.

We have a full programme of Open Meetings through the year, so please put these dates in your diary now.
- Heron Open Meeting – 11th May
- Push the Boat Out – 18th May
- Mid-summer Regatta Open Meeting – 4th August
- Wanderer Inlands and Catapult Open –14th/15th September
- Bart’s Bash – 15th September
- London Windsurfing Association – 21st September
- Laser Open – 13th October tbc
All open meetings are free to BSA members, and the Notice of Race for each event will be published on the BSA website .
- Wednesday Evening and Saturday Sailing Sessions – April to September
Following a successful trial in 2018, BSA intends to have a patrol boat out on the water from April to early September. The Pop-Up Cafe will also be open to act as a focal point for social sailing. We’re looking for volunteer helms and crews, so please send me an email if you’re able to help with this.
- Mariners of Bewl (MoB)
MoB would like to thank everyone (individuals and organisations) for their generous donations to MoB funds. They plan to install the new removable hoist and pontoon extension in April.
- Midweekers
On 2nd January the Midweekers enjoyed mulled wine and hot dogs at the Pop-Up Café, followed by a beautiful walk along the shores of Bewl Water. This sociable group meet up for a leisurely sail on alternate Wednesday mornings (from 10.30 to 12.30) throughout the winter, and the next session is on 23rd January 2019.
- Windsurfing
The Bewl windsurfers can be found on the water on most windy days. Just turn up and join their WhatsApp group for more information.
- Optimists
